The Ibis
- In Australia, we have 3 different types of ibis
- The Straw-Neck Ibis is a welcome to the farmers as they eat lots of different types of pests like locusts and grasshoppers. It has blue and black colours on the wings.
- The Glossy Ibis is the smallest Ibis we get in Australia and it is also the most colourful in features.
- The Australian White Ibis like the one shown in the picture is the urbanised bird. Very good at adapting to urbanised street living. It is said that it can fly up to 2000km for food, water and safety.
