Camperdown Memorial Rest Park – A Old Scary But Beautiful & Historical Cemetery

Camperdown Rest Park is a cemetery & park in Camperdown, Sydney right next to Newtown.

It has a fascinating history with a number of interesting people buried in the park & theoretically, there have been some ghost sightings here.

It is meant to be one of the main Sydney Haunted Sites.

Camperdown Cemetery was the original place on this block of land and it was established in 1848. It is a large cemetery and at the time one of the largest cemeteries in the Sydney area.

It is known to have over 18,000 burials. It was changed to a park in 1948 but some graves still exist to this day.
